NEWTOWN, Conn. –-(Ammoland.com)- The Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) has been cited as one of the Top 25 fast-growing trade shows based on attendance growth by a leading industry trade publication — a recognition that will surprise few who have attended the record-breaking SHOT Shows in Las Vegas in recent years.
The SHOT Show is owned by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearms and ammunition industry, and is managed by Reed Exhibitions, producers of the SHOT Show since 1979.
The high honor announced by the Trade Show News Network (TSNN) places the SHOT Show in elite company with other major trade shows on the list, including the International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and the JCK (jewelry) Las Vegas show.

The “fastest-growing” designation was based on shows from 2009 through 2011, according to TSNN. “During some of the most challenging years in the trade show industry, the 2012 TSNN Top 50 Fastest-growing Trade Show winners not only managed to thrive, but also by very impressive numbers,” said TSNN President and Editor-in-Chief Rachel Wimberly.
The SHOT Show will be honored at the 3rd Annual TSNN Awards: Celebrating Trade Show Excellence November 2-4 in Louisville, Ky.
